This marking tool is a Japanese traditional sewing tool called a Hera marker. It is a useful tool to mark on the fabric by pressing hard to create a visible crease that gives you a guideline to follow when you stitch. To remove the crease you can spritz water on the fabric and once the fabric dries the crease will disappear.
made from maple, light coloured walnut and walnut, please select before adding to cart.
the tool is very smooth and finished with a food safe danish oil that consists of beeswax and linseed oil. If the the edge becomes dull from constant use, you can sharpen with a really fine sandpaper (400 grit and up) and re oiled as needed.
